טוב אז אחרי שבוע של שימוש ב RC1 32 נראה שמערכת ההפעלה עדיין רחוקה מלהיות מערכת בשלה ויציבה כמו XP. אני אנסה למצוא את RC2 ולנסות גם אותה. הבעיה העיקרית ב RC1 היא המון תוכנות שנתקעות ואין עדיין דריברים לכל סוגי החומרה. לא התלחתי למשל להפעיל את ה IMON (פאנל בקרה ושלט רחוק למחשב) עוד בעיה היא תוכנות שיתוף שמורידות מאד לאט. ל XP קיים PATCH שמבטל את ההגבלה ל MAX CONNECTIONS אך הוא לא פועל על VISTA. לא ניתן שם לשנות קבצי מערכת.

EMULE מוריד בקצב של ביטים לשניה ולא קילו ביטים. הדבר היחיד שטוב ב VISTA זה הממש הגראפי החדש ואולי ה FIREWALL החדש. אני בכל מקרה חוזר ל XP.

ניתן להתקין את ה MUI של XP על VISTA?

קודם כל יש MUI לכל גרסא של ווינדוס.

It’s official – It’s time!

Today we are announcing the Release to Manufacturing of Windows Vista. This is a significant milestone for Microsoft and our partners, and one we are very excited about.

I’m simply in awe of the dedication and perseverance demonstrated by the team, who have worked tirelessly to make this the most reliable, most secure, most manageable, and simply the most fun to use operating system we have ever created. I’d also like to thank everyone at Microsoft who has supported this effort by installing pre-release builds and being our best testers.

Windows Vista has achieved a number of remarkable firsts, a very small sampling of which includes:

· This is the first time we’ve supported a broad array of product skus to help address different customer segments – and they’re all supported using a single product image. The same DVD can be used to install any of the product images.

· It is truly a worldwide release. For the first time we released Windows simultaneously in 5 languages! In fact, French, Spanish, and Japanese signed off before English, which is also an amazing first. 18 languages will be available at the general launch in January. We will ship 32 language editions within 100 days of US English RTM. And when we’re done, Windows Vista will be available in over 100 languages.

· Windows Vista supports more hardware than ever. Hundreds of OEMs and thousands of systems builders will pre-install Windows Vista, which will have more than 50% more device drivers inbox at RTM than Windows XP had, plus thousands more will be on Windows Update before general availability.

· Windows Vista is the most tested release ever. This is the first Microsoft product that has incorporated the Secure Development Lifecycle from the beginning, and has employed stringent quality gates for each release milestone.

· We’ve had millions of downloads of the pre-release versions, and there are already over 60,000 machines at Microsoft running Windows Vista—more than any prior Windows release at RTM.

· This is the first time that customers will be able to deploy worldwide on diverse hardware all with a single IT-managed image. And it’s the first time that this image can be serviced offline.

· And because of the great improvements in deployment tools, it’s the first time that leading OEMs will be able to drive their mission-critical manufacturing process for building and configuring machines using only inbox tools. Windows Vista deploys Windows Vista!

· Windows Vista is the fastest installing version of Windows when installing on then current generation hardware. Install times of Windows Vista on normal desktop class hardware regularly clock in at between 15 and 20 minutes.

I’ve never had more confidence in the quality of an operating system release. Even before we finished our work, we’ve received very positive reviews in the press. Here’s what they’re saying:

Windows Vista will rock the world with excitement. Alongside the Office team, we are holding the launch event for business audiences on November 30th. And volume licensing customers will be receiving Windows Vista by the end of the month. General availability for consumers and businesses that are not on volume licensing is January 30th. Computer manufacturers are offering customers who purchase a new PC before January 30th an easy way to upgrade to Windows Vista.

RTM signifies the completion of our development work and the start of the next phase for Windows Vista. Here’s what’s next:

· PC and device manufacturers and software developers are finalizing work on their products and applications.

· We will deliver Windows Vista to our Volume license customers by the end of November so they can move forward on their planning and deployment.

· Windows Vista will be made broadly available on January 30, 2007.



On November 17, Microsoft IT will make available an IT-supported image of Windows Vista (RTM) that includes the 2007 Office System (RTM), beginning with Puget Sound and expanding to include the rest of the world over the following 60 days. This image will be optimized for faster network download times, and will be compliant with all IT Hardware Standards Equipment—so keep your eyes open for your invitation to install soon! - החל מתאריך 1.11.2006 ציר לספור 100 ימים לגרסה העברית.
- התקנת VISTA היא ההתקנה הקצרה ביותר שיוצר על ידי מיקרוסופט למערכת הפעלה בין 15-30 דקות. (הכוונה לזמן התקנה על מחשב באותה תקופת זמן ולא WINDOWS 3.11 על P4)

3.11... אך..היו ימים...הwindows הראשון שהתקנתי היה גרסה 2. זה היה ממש בדיחה עצובה יחסית למקינטוש שהייתי רגיל אז..

היה מטריף את השכל לעשות התקנה עם איזה 14 דיסקטים..

הכי טוב לינוקס של הפצת דביאן וגם חינם, וגם מאפשר VDR (אני מקווה שיודעים על מה אני מדבר)

הדרישות המינימאליות הם הרבה יותר נמוכות, ככה שרב האנשים יוכלו לשדרג או להתקין בקלות, אבל לא יוכלו להישתמש בכל האופציות המתקדמות

ישנם שתי הגדרות לדרישות מערכת עפ"י מיקרוסופט:

ההגדר הראשון הם דרישות למערכת פרמיום כמו ש-deborder פירט שמכילים מרכיבים מתקדמים שלא הכרחיים להרצת המערכת כמו גרפיקת דסקטופ משוכללת, תפריטים תלת ממדיים ועוד:

Improved productivity (e.g., real-time thumbnail previews, new 3-D task switching, interface scaling),

ההגדר השני הם דרישות מינימום להרצת המערכת
והם כוללים:

- לצערי המאמר באנגלית עם יהיה ביקוש נעשה מאמץ ולתרגם.

תגיד מה האמת בנושא "שינוי מהותי בחמרה" שיידרוש אקטיבציה חדשה או שלא יתאפשר בכלל.

לגבי מערכת הפעלה 64 ביט: היתרון שלה הוא ביכולת שימוש בזיכרון העולה ע ל4 (ולא 2) גיגה. זה רלוונטי למי שמריץ אפליקציות שצורכות הרבה זיכרון - בדרך כלל שרתים.
מעבר לכך - תוכנות שנכתבו ל 32 ביט ירוצו בלי הבדל על ה 64. תוכנות שנכתבו ל 64 ביט ירוצו עם ביצועים טובים יותר - העניין הוא שעדיין לא נכתבו תוכנות כאלה..
שורה תחתונה : אין יתרון להתקנות גירסת 64 ביט ( לדעתי) ואני גם חושב שאין טעם להתעסק עם ה RC2 ( או כל דבר אחר חוץ מה RTM) למעט מסיבות של היכרות עם המערכת. מדובר על גרסאות שאינן גמורות. ממילא יוצאת (?) בינואר הגרסא הסופית. אני אישית מתכוון לשלם עבורה את המחיר המלא. זה עדיף על התעסקות אינסופית עם כל מני פאטצ'ים פיראטיים, שמעבר לכך שהם משחררים את הנעילה - רק אלוהים יודע מה עוד הם עושים.
מדובר על תוכנה שאם לשפוט לפי הזמן שלוקח ל MS לשחחר מערכת חדשה, אני אשתמש ב חמש שנים, ואני מוכן לשלם על דבר כזה 1000 שקל. זה שווה את השקט הנפשי,למרות שזה הרבה כסף.

בעניין הזכרון,

יש לי מחשב די חזק עם 2GB זכרון ו WINXP PRO. אני פותח בד"כ די הרבה חלונות של אקספלורר ופיירפוקס וכן אפליקציות נוספות כמו OUTLOOK Dreamweaver ועוד..

כאשר צריכת הזכרון (על פי ה task manager) מגיע לבערך 1.5GB אז אפליקציות חדשות שאני מנסה לפתוח מתחילות לסרב להיפתח, מתחילים כל מיני תופעות של תפריטים לא עובדים, בקיצור המערכת סתומה.

אני לא מצליח להגיע לניצולת של ה 2GB RAM שלי. ולא לשכוח שקובץ ה PAGE שאמור לתת מענה לצריכת זכרון מעבר לכמות ה RAM בכלל מיותר.

יש למישהו דרך לפתור את זה?

משה1: לא הצלחתי להבין למה הזכרתה את מגבלת הזיכרון, מה גם שהמספרים לא מדויקים ומצריכים ידע נרחב יותר כמו הבנה מה זה USER MODE ומה זה KERNEL MODE.....ראה טבלה http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defau ... leases.asp
זה נכון ששיפור מיפוי הזיכרון ודחיקת מגבלת הזיכרון ל 128T מיעל וגורם לשיפור ביצועים אבל זה רק צד אחד של המטבע! שיפור יעילות של סט הפקודות של המעבדים בגרסאות 64 ביט הוא עמוק יותר, חלקי קוד נרחבים נכתבו מחדש במיוחד לניצול יתרונות ה64 ביט, ......שורה תחתונה מה שכתבתי על שיפור ביצועים מדבר בעד עצמו, קח קובץ HD מפורמט 1080I נגן אותו בעזרת כול נגן 32 ביט על מערכת הפעלה 32ביט ותקבל 90-100% מה עם כול המשמעויות הנובעות מכך, בצע את אותו ניסוי על מערכת הפעלה 64 ביט עם (אותו) נגן 32 ביט ותקבל ~40% CPU.
לסיכום כול תוכנית 32 ביט תרוץ מהר יותר על מערכת הפעלה 64 ביט, כמובן שאם תיכתב ל 64 ביט יהיה שיפור גדול יותר, ונכון שאם יהיה צורך ביותר זיכרון השיפור יהיה יותר משמעותי .....
ולסיכום הסיכום: מערכת הפעלה יעילה יותר שמבצע SWITCHING TASK יעיל יותר תרגום לכול התוכניות גם לעבוד יעיל יותר ........


ezra6666: לא הבנתי, אני זקוק לטיפ נוסף כדי להבין, מבטיח לענות רק את האמת, ורק את מה שאני מרגיש ללא משוא פנים.....חברי יאשרו את זה.

יא: PAGE FILE לא עזור כאשר מגיעים למגבלת WINDOWS אלא מוסיף מחישול נוסף, היות והוא פוגע בביצועים, לדעתי צורת העבודה שלך עם מחשב מחייבת מעבר ל 64 ביט, קח בחשבון את בעיית הDRIVERS , בכול תחום המולטימדיה יש חוסר עצום....אולי כדי לך להתקין לצורך ניסיון על כונן אחר (לפחות 5 GB) ולבחון את השיפור, מבטיח לא תאמין, אפילו זמן אתחול המחשב הוא מדהים.

אשמח לנסות כשיהיה לי זמן. השאלה אם יפתור את בעיית "ההחנקות" של המערכת.
