Release notes

The image is based on orig 1.04. Support for record on non-fta is now given.
NO ILLEGAL STUFF IS INCLUDED IN THIS IMAGE.

Features


Sata-HDD support


Reboot: Using the commandline "/data/bin/reboot -f" or the web interface.


vsftpd: FTP-Server with DNS-Support (user:root, pw:kathrein)


New web interface


Autoinstall: e.g put a "*.tar.bz2" in "/data/update", after reboot it will be automatically installed.


Full "start.sh" in "/config" (the old "/app/start.sh" will be ignored!)


EMU start on "/data/plugins/operations" (called on boot by /config/start.sh)


EMU shutdown via "/app/launchapp.sh" can be changed now in "/data/plugins/shutdown"


Additional lib-path: "/data/lib"


EMU-path: "/data/bin" + "/data/keys"


Additional config-path: "/data/etc" If ".camd3" file exists there the camd3 starts, on the other hand if there is a ".mgcamd" file mgcamd will be started. (Only one emu will be started on boot)


No "welcome" on the display on boot but "tux-se" message.


Known problems

The web interface just works up to 4-5 clicks for each button. Have this in mind and don't use it just for fun.


Install instructions

WARNING: It is neccessary to have at least a version 1.04 based firmware on your ufs910. If your receiver is running on a 1.04 based image just use the default flashing technique to update your receiver:

1. Copy the image files to a usb stick. They have to be inside the folder "kathrein/ufs910"
2. Switch off the ufs using the power switch on the back.
3. Put your usb stick into the front usb port of your ufs.
4. Hold down the "Menu" key while switching on the reciever. "Emergency Boot" will appear on the display.
5. Push the "Menu" key until "Update Count 4" is displayed on the reciever. Now you can release the "Menu" button
6. Wait until the reciever reboots. After the reciever is booted you can remove the usb stick.


Default configuration

Network

The network configuration is stored in "/config/network".
Default values are as follows:

IP: 192.168.0.100
NM: 255.255.255.0
GW: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 192.168.0.1

Telnet

The default login for the telnet daemon is as follows:

Username: root
Password: kathrein
