מתברר שמנגינת התיקווה מקורה בשירת הלדינו של יהודי ספרד לפני 400 שנה !!!
נמצאו תווים מאותה תקופה בארכיון הקהילה היהודית הספרדית באמסטרדאם-הולנד !
מישם התגלגלה לאירופה והגיעה לאוזניו של המלחין סמטנא, אשר שילב אותה ביצירתו "מולדבה" !

The melody for Hatikvah derives from the Ladino songs of the Sefaradics (Spanish) Jews 400 years before...
A notes from these periode was found in the archives of the Sefaradic jews in Amsterdam-Holland !!!
This melody gained wide currency in Renaissance Europe and was also famously used by the Czech composer Smetana in his symphonic poem , Mavlast, as Vltava -Die Moldau.
